Al-Reuters dækning af Libanon-konflikten var mildest talt ikke neutral.
For eksempel dette:
12. Reuters taking orders from Hizbollah. On August 17, Reuters put out the article below in which it said:
“There was no sign of Hizbollah guerrillas as the Lebanese troops moved south. Even unarmed members of the group seen on previous days riding around on scooters and giving instructions to journalists and residents in the south had disappeared.”
Incredibly this same article was deleted from their data base. I happened to find it because the ABC website downloaded the article onto its website before it was deleted. Later updates of the same article changed the wording to “There was no sign of Hizbollah guerrillas as the Lebanese troops moved south. Even unarmed members of the group seen on previous days riding around on scooters and giving instructions to people in the south had disappeared.”
It raises a few questions:

Man spørger sig – var der danske journalister blandt de, som lod sig koste rundt af hetZZbollah?
Nu kan “instruktioner” jo betyde mange ting, og måske blev ordlyden ændret, fordi tvetydigheden gik op for skribenten. Desuden står der jo heller ikke noget om, hvordan journalisterne forholdt sig til “instruktionerne”.
Jeg ser intet i den sætning, der beviser, at Reuters ikke skulle være neutral.
