“The UN, via UNICEF, admits what we all knew: there was no famine in Gaza”

“Indeed, Gaza has an exceptionally low malnutrition rate, making the propaganda effort against Israel even more grotesque and evil.”

One of the major “facts” alleged to support the claim that Israel—fighting a defensive war against a genocidal enemy deliberately embedded in a civilian population—was itself committing genocide was the claim that Israel had engineered a famine in Gaza. This claim existed even though Israel did something never before done during a hot war: It expended money, equipment, and manpower to feed the enemy population.

But still, the “genocide through famine” claim persisted. Now, for those not lost in antisemitic hatred, the UN, via UNICEF, has the truth, which is that there was (and is) NO FAMINE IN GAZA:

A newly released UN-led nutrition survey of Gaza’s children completely shatters the narrative promoted by advocacy organisations that continue to claim that its population – and children, in particular – is being deliberately starved. Equally important, it also deals a final blow to the highly controversial “famine” designation issued one year ago by the Famine Review Committee of the UN-backed Integrated Food Security Phase Classification (IPC) system.

Contrary to the prevailing narrative, the survey found that acute malnutrition measured by WHZ ranged from merely 0.2 to 0.8 per cent across Gaza’s regions. For comparison, Gaza’s pre-war rate was 0.8 per cent – an already relatively low rate comparable to those seen in developed countries and well below those reported in nearby countries such as Egypt (2.9 per cent) or Jordan (2.0 per cent). In other words, the measured level of acute malnutrition is not only well below critical levels – it is exceptionally low by both regional and even Western standards.

The truth always lay, not in the fevered claims across the West or in the manifestly faked Pallywood videos, but in the endless number of videos showing Israeli convoys lined up to bring food into Gaza or in street scenes the Gazans themselves promoted showing mountains of food (much of it sweet-tooth junk food):

It was all a propaganda lie from Hamas, a foul organization that has the same goals as the Nazis—world domination and the death of all Christians and Jews. What’s even worse than the lie, which is the currency of warfare, is that the world didn’t just fall for the lie; it enthusiastically gulped it down and repropagated it wherever possible. In America, that was especially done among gullible, stupid, ill-informed young people at colleges and universities.

Just the other day, American Thinker reported on the fact that, following the leftist capture of the Martin-Springer Institute, a Holocaust studies program at North Arizona University, three speakers showed up in as many months to tell credulous people that Israel was committing a starvation genocide in Gaza.

It was always obvious to anyone paying attention to the facts and not blinded by prejudice that the “Gaza genocide through famine” narrative was a lie. Now, an organization insanely hostile to Israel (that would be the UN, via UNICEF) has told the truth. When a person or an institution finally acknowledges that a calumny against you was a lie, that’s a powerful weapon, and this truth should be spread far and wide.

Moské dét lysner i øst? For flere og flere cemtrum-højre har enkelte “værdisammenfald” med “De Unge” rødfascister fra “Ungeren” – 1. marts 2007 – =>
