In tragic irony the desperate liberal PR campaign to de-link Brussels with terrorism backfired massively when a little over 2 months after its release Brussels was hit by multiple Islamist suicide bombers today, killing at least 34 and injuring hundreds.
The original ad you could see smiling, happy people on the streets gladly accepting calls from all over the world which could be made through their internet portal. The point was to ensure them that, despite parts of the city now largely made up of Muslim migrants, there are no safety concerns.
Questions about safety and terrorism were therefore mocked, laughed at and tourists were encouraged to “just hop on a plane it’s safe, enjoy Brussels”.
That didn’t play out very well, so I re-cut the footage.
