Edinburgh City Council is busy targeting statues of British historical titans because of the communist “Black Lives Matter” protests.
The council is targeting monuments celebrating Queen Victoria (below) and Admiral Nelson, as well as Scotland’s national poet, Robert ‘Rabbie’ Burns.
The latest victim is Adam Smith, described as the “Father of Capitalism”, who is being targeted despite describing slavery as cruel and inhumane.
Another victim is the Duke of Wellington, despite his government using the Royal Navy to help stamp out the slave trade after abolition.
Britain First has started a complaints drive to demand that Edinburgh City Council cease with their politically correct, woke campaign to remove historical statues in the city.
