A Saudi Arabian prince is in discussions to build a beachfront hotel in, of all unlikely places, Tel Aviv.
That report comes from the Jewish publication Forward, which states that Prince Al-Waleed Bin Talal Bin Abdulaziz Alsaud has expressed interest in building the luxury hotel on an historic lot on the Mediterranean, and has already chosen an architect for the project.
Walid Abulafia, an Israeli Arab who owns the lot, wouldn’t comment on the Saudi connection, but he did say that he sees the hotel as a joint effort between Arabs and Jews.
