The Daily Ablution debunker en artikel i – selvfølgelig the Guardian, Kamelens yndlingsavis.
Uddrag:
Her (Guardianjournalisten) primary concern seems to be that the Muslim Council of Britain (and the Brotherhood) will lose influence if Mr. Bright’s work is taken seriously, thus cancelling some of the recent gains that he documents on page 19 of his pamphlet:
“Thus, on the 2nd June 2006, the London-published weekly newspaper of the Muslim Brotherhood, Resalat al-Ikhwan, reported the Commons proceedings of 23 May with evident glee. Under the headline ‘The Muslim Brotherhood dominates British Parliament’s sessions,’ the report applauds Britain’s new position on dialogue and congratulates itself of its success in positioning itself as a significant player in Egypt. By promoting dialogue, the British Government has, therefore, significantly strengthened the international credibility of the Muslim Brotherhood.”
Before mounting her final defence of the Muslim Council of Britain – which she likens to “a small volunteer parish council” immediately before trumpeting its vast influence – Ms. Bunting first addresses the “global phenomenon” that is the Brotherhood, referring to it as “the 20th century’s most influential political Islamic movement“.
In this she is no doubt correct. The Brotherhood is a global movement with a primary aim – to establish a Muslim Caliphate, a united political and military superpower.
Mere her.
