Politically correct Leicester University are planning to ‘decolonise’ their English language studies by removing important works of English literature that are deemed ‘too white’, according to reports.
Plans have emerged to shelve ‘The Canterbury Tales’ and ‘Beowulf’ – two of the most important works in English literature written by Geoffrey Chaucer below – in favour of a ‘decolonised’ (i.e. left-wing) curriculum.
They are due to be replaced by modules focused on ‘race and gender’ – replacing English literature with left-wing indoctrination.
