Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton: “Judicial Watch is trying to uphold the rule of law by suing sanctuary cities. We’ve done this in the past and we’re doing it currently in San Francisco. We have a taxpayer lawsuit against the city of San Francisco over their Sheriff’s Department’s deadly sanctuary policies.
The lawsuit is specifically about the deadly sanctuary policy that releases criminals onto the street who are illegal aliens and should be referred to ICE and potentially deported. And it’s that sort of outrageous policy that puts Americans at risk and that even kills people – like Kate Steinle who was famously killed by an illegal alien released under this sanctuary policy. And so Judicial Watch has to sue & stop it.”
