Her er SIAD’s udtalelse om afvisningen:
On February 20, 2007 SIAD reported the Koran to be contrary to the Constitution of the Kingdom of Denmark Act, sections 67 and 69, and claimed certain mosques (or the imams preaching at those mosques) to be acting illegally according to section 78 (2) of the said Act, in that passages of the Koran are being read aloud which urge to infringement of the Act of the Constitution, including violence and threat of violence.
The complaint was refused by the Ministry of Justice. Not content with being brushed aside so easily, SIAD responded by repeating the complaint, pointing out that the person who had handled the initial complaint was obviously not qualified to do so, having never read the Koran or the Hadith. Again, the complaint was refused.
What does one do now? Well, the only thing one can. Sue.
The following is a statement from SIAD.
The Danish Minster of Justice is contravening the Constitution of the Kingdom of Denmark Act. (The Danish constitution). We are currently preparing to take legal action.
We have started a world-wide collection of money in order to take legal action against passages of the Koran, i.e. passages which are contrary to the Danish constitution and the Danish Penal Code.Having received a refusal of our first claim from the Ministry of Justice and having noted that the case worker acted on complete ignorance, as she had not even read the Koran, nor did she know the meaning of the word “hadith”, SIAD forwarded a second claim.
To this second claim, we received a short reply from a certain Jens-Christian Bülow from the Ministry of Justice with the following wording:
By e-mail of March 27, 2007 you have once again addressed the Ministry of Justice in order to have passages of the Koran prohibited in Denmark.
The Ministry of Justice refers to an earlier reply of March 7, 2007.Yours faithfully,
Jens-Christian Bülow.Again, we see a total negligence of our argument which is based on the very clearly stated sections of the Danish constitution.
We have now opened a bank account where any monies received will be ear-marked for the trial.
Bank account number: 9860 8890006451
Swift: FIONDK 22
IBAN: D78 9860 8890006451
So, if you want to support SIAD in this, you know where to send your contribution. This could be a groundbreaking case. If SIAD succeeds in this action, it may show the way forward for everybody else. Our politicians are responsible for upholding the whole constitution. Not just the bits of it that suit them. It is time someone pointed that out to them.
